Meeting with Honduran economist and sociologist Leticia Salomón

The Center for Inter-American Policy and Research and the Departments of History and Political Science invited you to a meeting with Honduran economist and sociologist Leticia Salomón. She spoke on the current crisis in Honduras, its origins, implications and prospects.

Leticia Salomón is currently the director of scientific research at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras (UNAH) as well as the research coordinator and editor of the Centro de Documentación de Honduras (CEDOH), an Honduran think tank. She has published several books and articles in internationally renowned journals, both independently and as co-author. Her teaching has focused on political sociology and research methods. She is an Honduran specialist, particularly in areas related to the social and economic reality of the country, its politics and culture, democratic governance, defense and security, citizenship, and political culture. From the outbreak of the crisis, Prof. Salomón has written about it extensively and her articles have circulated broadly.
