Albert Fishlow on "Is Brazil the Country of the Future?"

The Center for Inter-American Policy and Research, the Department of Economics and the Office of Academic Affairs and Provost were pleased to welcome Albert Fishlow to Tulane for a keynote speech entitled ‘€œIs Brazil the Country of the Future?‘€

Albert Fishlow is Emeritus Professor, Columbia University and the University of California, Berkeley. His published research has addressed issues in economic history, Brazilian and Latin American development strategy, as well as economic relations between industrialized and developing countries. His most recent book is a collection of past essays translated into Portuguese and titled Desenvolvimento no Brasil e Na Latinoamerica (Development in Brazil and Latin America), published in 2004 by Editora Paz e Terra. He is currently finishing a book about Brazil from the return of civilian government in 1985 to the present.
