Ecuadorian Consulate Re-Opens in New Orleans

On Tuesday, March 29, 2011 the Ambassador of Ecuador to the United States, the Honorable Luis Gallegos, was in New Orleans for the re-opening of the Ecuadorian consulate, closed since after Hurricane Katrina.

Ambassador Gallegos, joined by Counselor Silvia Espíndola and other Consuls from the New Orleans community, as well as Ecuadorians from the city and surrounding areas, welcomed the new General Consul, Dr. Luis Alberto Quiñonez, a native of Esmeraldas, Ecuador and his team to the new headquarters, located on the 4th floor of the Canal Office Tower on 365 Canal Street.
