Please mark your calendar for CIPR’s 2026 Fall Series.

Latin America is going through a period of uncertainty and dissatisfaction with traditional mechanisms of representation. This has led to growing debates about power and governance in changing times. The Fall 2026 CIPR Speaker Series examines how historical and contemporary processes shape formal and informal institutional arrangements and political dynamics across the region. From an interdisciplinary perspective, the series brings together scholars whose research explores these processes and actors across different Latin American societies.

FALL 2026 SERIES:
SEPTEMBER 25: Guillermo Trejo (University of Notre Dame)
OCTOBER 16: Jessica Rich (Marquette University)
OCTOBER 23: Paula Cuellar Cuellar (University of Texas at Dallas)
DECEMBER 4: Paula Rettl (Harvard University)

The first three events will be held in the Greenleaf Conference Room, 100A Jones Hall. Dr. Rettl’s talk location will be announced on her poster when the date is closer.
