Joséphine Lechartre
CIPR Post-Doctoral Fellow
Joséphine Lechartre is a recent PhD in Peace Studies and Political Science from the University of Notre Dame. Her work focuses on the legacies of political violence, with a particular interest in survivor political behavior, transitional justice and post-conflict criminal violence. At CIPR, she will work on her book manuscript “Genocide and Cultural Change,” which delves into the long-term legacies of genocide on the political engagement of Mayan indigenous communities in Guatemala. Her regional focus is mainly in Central America, Mexico, and Colombia.
