Fabio Resmini is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Center for Inter-American Policy and Research at Tulane University. He holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada.
Fabio specializes in political parties, political economy, and democracy, with a regional focus on Latin America. His research focuses on the role that political parties and redistributive initiatives play in furthering or undermining democratic governability. His book project The Company You Keep: Centrists, Party Alliances, and Democratic Breakdown in Latin American and Southern Europe investigates when and why centrist parties ally with far-right forces, with detrimental consequences for democratic stability.
His work is forthcoming in Comparative Politics and in edited volumes.
